Launching the Game Show Gurus
On January 30, 2011,
in Website Works,
by Lawrence
I helped my friends in the Florida based “Game Show Gurus” launch their site and all their social media presences: http://www.thegameshowgurus.net
They run great game shows so you should have them at your convention.
Working with Reni’s management I assisted in the promotion and production of this ensuring that the Japanese Television network NHK and its their program “NEW YORK WAVE,” (to be aired on March 7th, 2010) had great footage of cosplayers as well as great interviews.
Some photos:
Created with Admarket’s flickrSLiDR.
Advertising for this Event:
SEO: For this event was use of social networks, ensuring relevant links from other interested parties. This was pre and post. TheBigTog’s photos is a form of social networking as well as ensuring getting links and reports about and post the event, across social media and websites.
Also I was working with the other event producers to ensure maximum visibility through promotion at various events and venues such as her show at Forbidden Planet.
Disorganization XIII Web Presence Launch
On September 24, 2009,
in Social Media, Website Works,
by Lawrence
I have relaunched the entire web presence of the comedy troupe Disorganization XIII.
By web presence I created their website, created their facebook fan page, modified their twitter, created graphics, and integrated all of their social media into this web presence and I have made it very easy for all the members of DOXIII to update and inform, connect, and more with all their fans through all mediums.
—————————————————————–
This is their first testimonial:
Well everyone, here it is. Our new Disorganization XIII website. Huge thanks go out to Lawrence Brenner and his elite team of helicopter ninja lawyer bakers for getting this website up.
For Image Anime, the New York City based anime, figures, toys, and pop culture products retailer I have made content and copy for their site (and fixed other copy), created their social media presences (facebook, twitter, flickr, YouTube, and others for potential use such as American Cosplay Paradise and Cosplay.com.
The graphics are for products, events, and more.
I have also made their new favicon (which before was the default Yahoo! Store favicon, as they run Yahoo! Store).
I have also completely written their marketing plan which includes doing video marketing as well as events, some of which can already been seen on the site.
Hence if you see these on Image Anime, I came up with them.
I have also instructed them in the use of their social media channels to maximize their media exposure.
I was at Sakura Matsuri (http://www.bbg.org/exp/cherries/sakura.html) a few weeks ago where I was shooting video for Uncle Yo (http://www.uncleyo.com) (whose website I have also created and maintain).
Prior to this event I designed his twitter page, integrated it into his website, and instructed him in its use, including how to announce it at events. In the performance you can hear him talk about twitter.
The first video playlist is his performance from Sakura Matsuri:
http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=27E7EA9FC698FD89
It is very funny, especially if you have any knowledge of anime, manga, comic books, and other aspects of otaku culture.
The second video playlist is his interview with Megumi Sato of Samurai Beat Radio
http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=56FF84216103F448It is very insightful and he talks about how he and many other people in this generation became interested in anime, manga, and conventions.
Make sure to keep up with Uncle Yo on his website, www.uncleyo.com. He has some great shows and plans upcoming.
